Viewer Tools
Use measurement, annotation, and analysis tools to work with your geospatial data
Aura provides a comprehensive set of tools for measuring, annotating, and analyzing your data. Access tools from the Tools menu in the top navigation bar or from the right sidebar.
Available Tools
Measurement
Measure distances, areas, heights, and get point coordinates.
Video Flythrough
Create cinematic camera animations and export them as video files.
Clipping Area
Define regions to isolate and export portions of your point cloud.
Cross Section
Create 2D profile views through your 3D data.
Comments
Add annotations and notes to specific locations on the map.
Image Viewer
Browse and analyze geotagged photos with EXIF metadata.
Accessing Tools
From the Top Menu
Click Tools in the navigation bar to see available options:
- Draw & Measure - Measurement tools submenu
- Video Flythrough - Camera animation tool
- Image Viewer - Geotagged photo browser
From the Right Sidebar
When a tool is active, its settings appear in the right sidebar where you can:
- Configure tool options
- View results (measurements, coordinates)
- Complete or cancel the current operation
Via Keyboard Shortcuts
Some tools have keyboard shortcuts:

Tool Modes
Most tools operate in a click-based workflow:
- Activate the tool from the menu
- Click on the map to place points or define areas
- View results in the right sidebar
- Finish by completing the operation or pressing Escape
Combining Tools
You can use multiple tools in sequence to analyze your data:
- Use Measurement to check distances
- Create a Cross Section to view a profile
- Add Comments to document findings
- Create a Video Flythrough to present results
